Making Fedoras Cool Again

Here's another Photoshop illustration of Mr. Ford as his alter-ego, Indiana Jones. I can't imagine having this walk in to one of my college classes and teach when I was in school. I hope his university had showers.

Now that Disney owns the Indiana franchise proper, I wonder if J.J. will take a shot at rebooting Dr. Jones? Something must be done to fix the "Crystal Skull" fiasco, and this time absolutely NO REFRIDGERATORS ALLOWED.

Minimalist Star Wars Posters

Saul Bass just celebrated a birthday (he would have been 93) a few days ago, and Google did an amazing job of paying homage with a video they streamed through their search page here. To pay homage to amazing past designers like him, and amazing current designers like Olly Moss, I decided to play graphic designer and create my own trilogy of alternate Star Wars posters. May as little of the force as possible while still clearly communicating the core message be with you...

Wreck-it-Ralph Kinetic Type Animation

Wreck it Ralph Kinetic Type Animation from Deanna Sheehan on Vimeo.

This animation is one of my favorite scenes in Disney's Wreck-it-Ralph. I wanted to really capture the video game aspect of the movie as well as the cuteness of Vanellope Von Schweetz by using "moving type" with simple graphics. I tried to express the sarcasm of the characters visually (and it still makes me smile whenever she mocks him).

Narration: John C. Reilly/Sarah Silverman
Movie directed by: Rich Moore

Super Shawnio 2 - Shawnio Reloaded

Here's what happens when I watch "Wreck-It-Ralph" too many times. This animation is a "sequel" to another animation I made as an AE tutorial a while back. "Improvements" to the animation include a malfunctioning CRT-style Vertical Hold, a better hat for Shawnio and absolutely no accents from yours truly.

See the original Shawnio here.
